Node Operators

Increase your revenue by operating storage nodes in the dStor public cloud

Providing dStor infrastructure is easier, more stable than mining

Providing dStor infrastructure is easier, more stable than mining

dStor allows node operators to earn additional income with their existing unused infrastructure, at little to no additional cost. Setup is easy with pre-built scripts and containers, with little upkeep needed. Why not start collecting revenue from your untapped storage capacity?

Typical node operator providers include:

  • Data centers with excess capacity
  • Businesses with unused equipment
  • Renters of virtual servers with high bandwidth
  • Fiber-to-the-home users who want to offset service costs while away

Earn more on the new internet

App developers are increasingly moving to decentralized storage because they need to reduce overall costs and improve geographic diversity and security of their data. Higher performing storage nodes receive more data requests and therefore, a bigger share of the pay dStor receives.

Put simply, the faster the connection speeds you can provide, the more often your nodes will be chosen, and the more money you make.

Payment

Storage node operators are continuously rated, and higher performance, lower latency systems will receive more opportunities to serve files, and therefore more income.

Storage node operators earn a percentage of the total pay dStor earns each month based on the pro rata amount of data seeds they store and bandwidth they deliver to end users.

During the beta period, developers pay for storage via US dollar invoices and storage node operators are paid by smart contract in TLOS tokens on the Telos blockchain.

Low minimum requirements:

  • IPv6
  • 4TB storage (dedicated)
  • 50 Mbps up bandwidth (dedicated)
  • i3 processor or better
  • 8GB RAM or better (needn't be ECC)
  • Ubuntu 18.4 LTS (or any later LTS release) - Debian etc coming soon
